Workspace Integration

LiveTiles Intranet Metadata Inheritance can easily integrate with LiveTiles Intranet Workspaces. This enables the workspace's metadata to be automatically inherited to all defined lists/items.

To integrate LiveTiles Intranet Metadata with LiveTiles Intranet Workspaces following steps need to be performed:

• Grant permissions to allow the Workspace Service to access the Metadata Service on behalf of the logged in user by clicking here:
  • High-Trust
  • Low-Trust
• A metadata config needs to be created. All fields that should be inherited must be configured. The key specified here will be required in the next step.
• The workspace type config must be extended to contain a metadataIntegration node containing the configKey defined in the last step.

When a workspace with the above config will be created, the workspace service will call the Metadata API and assign the workspace's site collection to the configured config.
