Among other minor fixes and improvements, this release includes following items:

Features

  • Breadcrumb reflects SharePoint navigation within a site.
  • Mega Menu pages and groups can be configured to have a link.

Changes/Improvements

  • Admins can prevent users from configuring multiple languages in the Mega Menu.
  • Several improvements in the rendering of events.
  • Search Data Provider can be configured to not use any implicit wild cards (i.e. append an *).
  • The LiveTiles Reach GraphQL Data Provider supports searching for * as an empty query.
  • Sorting Web Part can be configured to invert colors.
  • Improve layout in "View all"-overlay.

Fixes

  • Mobile
    • Query parameters are maintained on all web parts from the same page in the mobile view.
    • Global search uses the whole screen height.
    • Pages that are not explicitly configured in the Mega Menu are still shown in the mobile navigation, if the user is currently on such a page.
  • Refiners are shown, even if there is only one value available.
  • If there is an error in one section in the Hero Web Part, the layout isn't destroyed anymore.
  • Mega Menu never has a horizontal scrollbar.

This release contains a number of features, improvements and fixes as well as a rebranding to align with the LiveTiles product family. Please note that existing installations will not be affected by the rebranding.

Together with the rebranding we also changed the names of our apps:

  • MatchPoint O365 Core will now be LiveTiles Intranet Hub
  • MatchPoint O365 Hub will now be LiveTiles Intranet Hub Landing Page

Features

  • Notifications widget can be configured that will add an icon to the top bar.
  • Add grouping options to list layout template / content items widget.
  • Icon-config-options support links to images.
  • Add a SimpleHeroItemTemplate that display less information.
  • Add basic support for the Reach GraphQL data provider.

Changes/Improvements

  • Rebranding: Adjust colors to match the LiveTiles color palette.
  • ExtendedItemTemplate:
    • use itemTypeIcon to configure icon
    • use hideImage to hide the image
  • Our "Hide SharePoint navigation bar on scrolling"-functionality is now also supported on modern pages.
  • Filters/Refiners widget: Configure minimalist filters.
  • "View all"-overlay is responsive.
  • Filter values can be searched.
  • Date values are displayed in the UI language.
  • PropertyType.Link can have other properties as children.
  • PersonItem: department and position properties can be of any type.
  • Improving loading of small images.

Fixes

  • Intercom icon doesn't hide our buttons anymore.
  • Fix issues in TeamsDataProvider.
  • Fix (SharePoint) search behavior, searching for "*.pdf" e.g. works now.
  • JSON editor highlights errors again.
  • Fix bugs related to continuous scrolling.

Please note that this is a silent release.

In order to get the newest app packages (only required if you want the new names and app-logos in the app catalog and the site contents view) you are required to:

  • Remove the old app from the app catalog.
  • Add the new app to the app catalog.
  • You do NOT need to remove and add the app on all site collections. The names of the apps however will still be the old value.

Rebranding

We just rebranded all our products so they comply with the LiveTiles products.

The only thing that changes are the names and logos, as well as the font/color palette for the hub. Apart from that we will continue evolving all our products.

Workspaces & Provisioning 1.5.0

Version 1.5.0 of MatchPoint for Office 365 Workspaces and Provisioning has been released.

In this release we provide the possibility to create Microsoft Teams from "Group" type workspaces using either the Workspace approach by specifying a Microsoft Teams template or using the Provisioning service.

This version adds the integration to the MatchPoint Metadata Service enabling admins to automatically register a workspace/site collection for the MatchPoint Metadata Service. Please see our documentation for more information on how to enable this for your workspaces.
